The following application for resource consents has been received by the Northland Regional Council

and is hereby publicly notified pursuant to Section 93(2) of the Resource Management Act 1991.

LOCATION: Okara Park Pump Station, Port Road, Whangarei Council Reserve,

Railway Road Bridge, Whangarei

ACTIVITIES: REPLACEMENT CONSENT: Discharge untreated sewage from

Okara Park pump station into the Hatea River.

NEW CONSENT: Discharge untreated sewage into the

Waiarohia Stream.

TYPE OF CONSENT: Coastal permit: Discharge of up to 24,000 cubic metres per day

of untreated sewage into the Hatea River.

Discharge permit: Discharge of up to 400 litres per second of

untreated sewage into the Waiarohia Stream, and associated

discharge of odour.

Land use consent: To place, use and maintain a new discharge

structure on the bed of the Waiarohia Stream and associated

land disturbance activities.

Water and discharge permit: The diversion and discharge of

stormwater to water during land disturbance activities.
