Willie Pohe, Jill Kahika and Warren Slater lead the 'Save Our Harbour' march from Laurie Hall Park to Whangarei District Council library on December 12th 2008. A public meeting gave the Whangarei Harbour a much needed voice.
Dr Russel Norman - co-leader of the Green Party participated in the 'Save Our Harbour' march and then addressed the large crowd at the public meeting outside the public library. Russel returned to Wellington with one of the march signs to present to parliament and inform them of the situation in Whangarei. His website has some interesting articles.
